Julia Vaughn, also known as Jules or J, is a licensed Cosmetologist and Bachelor of Science, graduate. She began her hair journey in 1992 at 11 and has been a licensed cosmetologist in Pennsylvania since 2003. Her passion for hair started from personal experience as she is "tender headed" and could not take the tightness and tension that many stylists use on clients.
Before starting her business, Julia worked at various salons, including Hair Buzz, Indivo Salon, Regis Corporation, Barb's Hair Creations, JCPenny Salons, 3rd Element Spa, Xquisite Salon, and Fanta C Beauty, from 1999 to 2018. Then, stepping out boldly on faith in 2018, she launched J Vaughn Hair, officially established as J Vaughn LLC in 2022 with the state.
In addition to her salon work, Julia has also worked on the set for music videos, theater productions, pageants, and photo shoots for music artists and bridal magazines. She loves what she does and encourages clients to subscribe to her email list for updates.

J Vaughn Hair is a hair care company founded by a CEO with over 20 years of licensed cosmetology experience. We specialize in African American hair care and aim to provide our clients with excellent customer service and hair education. Providing exceptional service and educating its clients about their hair will foster a lasting relationship between clients and stylists.
Our vision for each appointment is to provide hair therapy for our clients. We want each appointment to be about getting more than a haircut or a hairstyle but also a chance for clients to relax, de-stress, and take care of themselves. We believe healthy hair starts with a healthy mind and body, so it aims to make each appointment a soothing, rejuvenating experience.

We make every effort to remind you of your appointment 48 hrs before your scheduled date. We also understand that sometimes schedules change. We ask that you please inform us if you cannot keep your appointment at least 24 hrs before its scheduled date and time. If you cancel or reschedule your appointment without providing us with this 24 -hour notice, your deposit will not be refunded. You cannot cancel your appointment online. you must call us to cancel/reschedule.
